The Game Fair is gearing up for a thrilling three-day celebration of the great British countryside this summer and is delighted to announce that three big-name celebrities will be attending the event too. The trio of celebrities set to draw crowds to The Game Fair 2022 are former JLS star and popular farming presenter JB Gill, hill farmer, inspiring public speaker and Sunday Times best-selling author Amanda Owen and much-loved chef, countryside advocate and television presenter James Martin. 

The Game Fair – a three-day festival of the great British countryside – returns to Ragley Hall in Warwickshire from 29 July to 31 July 2022. Visitors with VIP tickets to The Game Fair’s onsite restaurant The Enclosure (Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum tickets are available now and start at just £99) will enjoy a bespoke lunch menu created by James Martin and a Farmer’s Breakfast and Sunday Lunch menu created by Amanda Owen. All three celebrities will be appearing at Q&As, demonstrations and more, giving visitors plenty of ways to make sure they see them.

JB Gill

JB will appear at the British Association of Shooting and Conservation (BASC) Wild Food Theatre’, where he will take part in a cooking demonstration with acclaimed chef and game meat evangelist José Souto. The audience for this demonstration can expect to hear about JB’s love for game (in particular venison), all things countrywide and his farm, and go home feeling inspired to cook more game and learn more about where their food comes from.

JB will also appear at The Carter Jonas Game Fair Theatre to speak about his farm, work with the Woodland Trust and current awareness campaigns. JB is an engaging speaker who regularly presents on national television shows, effortlessly combining entertaining and educating audiences. 

JB commented: “I’m really excited to be appearing at The Game Fair this summer with my family and taking in everything it has to offer! The British countryside and farming are so closely intertwined and I’m passionate about sustainably produced British food, including game. I’ll be cooking up a storm making sure I get time to take in the casting displays and Fishing Village.”

Amanda Owen 

Amanda will create a special Sunday Lunch menu recipe for guests in The Game Fair’s exclusive on-site VIP restaurant, ‘The Enclosure’. Amanda will spend time mingling and chatting with the guests and soaking up the atmosphere at this popular Game Fair destination. Holders of the new Gourmet ticket will be treated to a Farmers Breakfast fit for a king created by Amanda herself. 

Amanda’s appearance at The Game Fair will see her spending 3 full days at the event and present an award at a special fundraising dinner on the Saturday night in aid of the Gamekeepers Welfare Trust. Amanda will be interviewed each day in The Game Fair Theatre and will appear at the BASC Wild Food Theatre alongside top chefs and other personalities.

Amanda said: 

“This summer I’m delighted to be attending The Game Fair, celebrating all that the British countryside has to offer. I’ll be helping to design some delicious breakfast and Sunday lunch menus, as well as appearing across the weekend in a number of events and cookery demos. It should be a really fun weekend!”

James Martin

James, a firm favourite at The Game Fair, has once again created a bespoke menu for VIP package holders visiting the on-site restaurant The Enclosure, sharing his love of sustainably produced British food and game with them in a delicious 2 or 3-course lunch. James will also take part in a live working gundog display in the main arena with his beloved cocker spaniel Cooper alongside leading trainer Jason Mayhew and former international cricketer Matt Prior. 

James comments:
