Located in the heart of Belgravia lies a club known to many as the mecca of fine dining, amazing atmosphere and wonderful service, Mosimann’s is one of the most prestigious private dining clubs in the world, having been located at 11B West Halkin Street, London for over 30 years and is a holder of a Royal Warrant by Appointment to HRH The Prince of Wales (now King Charles III) for Catering Services since 2000, you can expect Mosimann’s to deliver, but The Gentleman Magazine was lucky to discover first hand this wonderful club for ourselves, and without a shadow of a doubt we can say Mosimann’s is excellent at making you feel at home, while providing you will the best culinary experience in London.On October 1st 1988 Mosimann’s opened its doors to members or the first time receiving over 1,000 members in just a few months of it opening. Having sampled the food for ourselves, it is no wonder that those first members are still members today.

The Gentleman Magazine was extremely lucky to have sampled a 5-course meal with a champagne reception, and I can tell you it was the best food I have ever eaten in London, from melt in your mouth Beef, to wonderfully indulgent chocolate truffles, paired with outstanding rose, white and red wines the meal, the amazing service and beautiful atmosphere will stay with me forever.

You often hear clubs offering a “home from home” experience, and while they come close Mosimann’s is where they go above and beyond to deliver on their motto of “passion for excellence”. The atmosphere is welcoming and heart-warming, the décor classic with a modern twist of elegance, the service impeccable, and the food… the food is a masterpiece of culinary excellence.

But the food is not just the star of the show at Mosimann’s in fact within this gem of Belgravia you will find seven different rooms, catering for private fine dining, each unique due to their room sponsor. If you are looking for a quiet and intimate room with your loved one the Montblanc room offers timeless décor and opulent splendour, perfect for celebrating a milestone within your relationship. Within its shimmering oyster walls you will find the most splendid black and white chandelier statement piece specifically created by Montblanc for Mosimann’s.

If you’re looking for the purest dining experience, as close to the chefs as possible, you and your friends will want to experience the room by Angélus, as one of the world’s most famous Bordeaux names you will find this room panelled to the hilt in wonderful mahogany panelling with a direct view into the kitchens at Mosimann’s, this is the table for you and your five friends to book if you love a chefs table experience, while being able to watch your meals being prepared by true professionals.

The other rooms from the likes of Davidoff, Lalique, Windsor and Casa Luiza are all equally luxurious in their own unique way, as with all the seven rooms available, if you are looking to have an intimate setting for two or a lavish banquet for 30 or 50 people you can be sure that Mosimann’s can provide you with the upmost professionalism, offering the most luxurious dining experience in London.

f you are passionate about food and quality service and are looking for somewhere to relax within London, Mosimann’s should be at the top of your list. I say this not only for its world renowned reputation for producing the finest food in the world, but it offers all of these luxurious benefits, which I consider excellent value for money, with various membership offerings available to suit everyone’s needs for example, if you want to become a full member it is priced at £1,500 – if you are just wanting somewhere to relax and enjoy a wonderful lunch then the Lunch membership at £600 plus initial £250 joining fee could be for you.

However, I think probably the best offering I have seen in London for the under 40’s is Mosimann’s M Club Membership that costs just £500 a year, until your 40th Birthday, so to all you young professionals out there in London looking for somewhere to dine, why not make the classy move and take out an M Club membership, I highly recommend it and you certainly won’t be disappointed - and better still all membership covers your spouse/partner too, with all private dining room hire waived, which is a top notch service!
