Nobu Hotel London Portman Square:

A Symphony of Elegance, Culinary Mastery, and Unforgettable Moments

The Nobu Hotel London at Portman Square stands as a luxurious oasis in the heart of Marylebone offering an unparalleled blend of opulence, world-class dining and cutting-edge facilities. Our recent stay at this exquisite establishment left us utterly enchanted, as we immersed ourselves in the seamless fusion of traditional elegance and contemporary comfort.

The 249 guest rooms and suites are a testament to the hotel's commitment to providing an unforgettable experience for anyone seeking the luxury experience. From the palatial suites with expansive living areas and panoramic views of the London skyline to the snug yet stylish rooms perfect for a brief city escapade, each space resonates with the tranquillity inspired by the adjacent Portman Square's English garden.

The use of natural materials and textures enhances the senses of an urban oasis, creating an environment that is both soothing and sophisticated, perfect for loved ones celebrating a special occasion or a family travelling to London.

During our stay, we had the pleasure of indulging in the Zen Suite, these Zen Suites are a haven designed for special occasions. Consisting of a large living room, separate from the bedroom, allowing us to either work in complete tranquillity or simply lounge in style.

The spacious bathroom, adorned with a ToTo toilet and stocked with Grown Alchemist amenities, provided a luxurious retreat, and will certainly impress anyone who uses them.

After exploring the city and the glorious Hyde Park, we were delighted to slip into the provided Yukata robes and relish a freshly brewed coffee from the Nespresso machine, all whilst enjoying our favourite movies on an extremely large 4K ultra-high-definition TV. However, Nobu was to treat us again to a wonderful treat of white wine and perfect patisseries that were wonderfully fresh and vibrant, which made the whole experience even better.

However, Nobu Hotel is not just about accommodations; it's an immersive experience. The Nobu Wellness & Fitness Centre, home to the world's first Nobu Pilates Reformer studio, offers guests a chance to restore and rebalance – which becomes a godsend when dealing with the hustle and bustle of London.

Additionally, the dining options are nothing short of extraordinary. Nobu Restaurant and Nobu Bar, along with the more relaxed ambience of The Lounge, serve as epicurean havens where Chef Nobu Matsuhisa's iconic menu takes centre stage. Influenced by his extensive travels and years studying Japanese cuisine in Tokyo, the 'Nobu Style' is a celebration of diverse flavours, and it resonates throughout the menus worldwide.

We sampled the chef’s choice, from the full-fledged seafood and meat choices from the Omakase menu, while also experiencing vegetarian options. We’re pleased to report that each course was a masterclass of Japanese cuisine, each showcasing the wonderful aroma, taste and skill that goes into producing such fine food.

I have never had such amazing sushi in my life, with each bite being a powerful hit of fresh flavours, but we also cannot forget the Wagyu beef which was simply divine, presented perfectly with each dish, but not overpowered by flavours it was a true statement of how to get Japanese cuisine right!

Cocktails are also at the heart of Nobu Hotel which has this irresistible charm, making it the ultimate destination for connoisseurs in search of bespoke cocktails and a curated selection of wines from around the world. Crafted by the renowned David Collins Studio, the interior of Nobu Bar immerses guests in an atmosphere of deep, luxurious tones, glistening surfaces, and intimate corners.

Guiding the journey of Nobu Bar is Sophie Bratt, a seasoned professional with an impressive 20-year career in the industry. Her expertise has given rise to a collection of inventive concoctions, inspired flavour pairings, and the introduction of an authentic Izakaya experience, bringing the casual charm of a Japanese bar to the heart of Marylebone in London.

Inspired by the globally celebrated Nobu Matsuhisa, the menu unfolds like a passport-guided journey across the continents. Each cocktail is a masterpiece, drawing inspiration from the diverse countries Nobu has explored and worked in, creating a fusion of flavours that tantalize the senses.

Beyond the confines of the guest rooms and dining areas, Nobu Hotel London Portman Square also boasts stunning event spaces suitable for any occasion. Whether hosting a business meeting or a grand celebration, the state-of-the-art venues are equipped with cutting-edge technology, supported by multilingual, tech-savvy teams ready to tailor the experience to the unique needs of each gathering. For weddings and celebrations, dedicated planning professionals ensure that every detail is meticulously arranged, with the distinctively crafted menus exceeding expectations.

In summary, Nobu Hotel London Portman Square is not merely a place to stay; it's an immersive journey into refined luxury, exceptional dining, and unparalleled hospitality. From the moment you step through its doors, you're cocooned in an atmosphere of sophistication and tranquillity, creating memories that linger long after your departure.
